Lady Gaga and her amazing "post-it" dress on 20 Apr 2009 by Addie

By now you must have surely seen Lady Gaga’s appearance on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross. If not check out the clip at the end of this post. The Gaga one joined Ross, tea cup in hand, wearing couture by none other than one of our favourite designers, Ashley Isham. Yes, ladies it was Isham that created this flattering vinyl toga “Post-It” dress. The showpiece hails from his 2008 Barberella-inspired collection and naturally we had to get Isham’s thoughts on Gaga in his creation. Here’s what he had to say:

“She rocked in that dress! She carried it with an air of cool confidence and looked so comfortable in it that you forget it’s a showpiece! It didn’t look at all out of place – even at a talk show!”

Victoria Beckham, Katie Price, and Lady Gaga strut their stuff in bright shoes on 20 Apr 2009 by Addie

We’re never ones to pass-up on a bargain, so when we heard that Primark were selling a Barbie pink shoe for only £9 we could hardly believe what we were hearing!

These £9 heels have been the biggest ever seller for the much-loved discount store. How can a simple pair of bright pink heels prove such a success at a time of economic gloom on the High Street?

Simple, shoe-shopping has long been a weak point for women and is always a great pick-me-up as many women will know, and thanks to the £9 ‘Barbie’ shoe we can all afford to stay on top of celeb trends.

Customers are flocking to the store to grab these court shoes, some are even re-selling them eBay for up to £22! The shoes popularity is most likely linked to the fact that some well-known celebs have been rocking this look.

Stars such as Victoria Beckham, Katie Price and Lady Gaga have all been seen out and about in bright fuchsia heels (Christian Louboutin, naturally!) We all know there’s nothing that starts a trend going quicker than wild-fire than when Mrs Beckham steps out in a must-have item.

We may not be able to afford Posh’s matching pink Hermes Birkin handbag, but at only £9 we can certainly afford to pinch her shoe style, let’s just hope the staff at Primark don’t buy up all the pairs before we get a chance to get our mitts on them.

Helen Penney of Primark attributed the sales to the shoe’s simple shape: ‘They’re a very classic court and a nice quality,’ she said.

However, we’re not entirely convinced by this comment, can you really achieve good quality for just £9?

Cheap shoes are always handy for the odd night out, but don’t expect them to go the distance; you always get what you pay for…

We think we may be better investing a little more cash into our footwear with fab brands such as Steve Madden, Terry de Havilland and Pepe Jeans Footwear. After all, we would like our much-loved heels to last longer than one night.

If you don’t have a penchant for Barbie pink then you may be in luck. Due to the success of the fuchsia patent court shoe, Primark are set to release the same style in a series of different shades next month, including white, coral and teal blue.

London, April 20 (IANS) British singer Lady GaGa recently raised a storm over losing her favourite teacup.

Lady GaGa takes the cup wherever she goes but left it at a restaurant in London. She then sent a cab to get it back, thesun.co.uk reports.

A source said: “She kicked up a stink and demanded someone get her cup and saucer back.”

“It (teacup) just looked like any other cup and saucer to me and said ‘Made in China’ on the bottom.”

Lady Gaga in Parlour Magazine on 20 Apr 2009 by Addie

Lady GaGa is all up in the newest issue of Parlour Magazine talking about-what else?-art, sex and fashion. "I mean now my outfits are considered cool." says the sudden stylista. Now everytime I've got an outfit on someone says 'You have amazing fashion!' But there was a time when I was hanging out on Rivington Street and people were like 'You're a fucking freak!'" Psht, girl! That's just how the public works. They hate something until everyone else loves it, then they claim they invented it.
Lady G also claims that her sense of style is inspired by change and the future. "When I talk about the future I don't mean like outer space. So much of what I'm doing is about pollution, it's advanced technology, it's industrial and it's factorylife. It's not like Mars." Say whosiwhatsitnow? Don't get me wrong-I believe that fashion is art and art is life, but dude. Let's not go overanalyzing shit. You provide entertainment to a world that needs it. End of story. And while her style is undeniably dope, she's barely been relevant five minutes, therefore she's hardly a style icon. Besides, those shutter shades, shoulder padded blazers and futuristic bodysuits? They've all been done before. She's just recycling fashion-not reinventing the wheel.
